Quick Service Guide

Conversion Features

Our unique Ford wav is designed to enable you to drive from your wheelchair and have the option to travel upfront in your wheelchair next to the driver. The conversion has a lowered floor throughout the front of the vehicle, meaning you have exceptional interior space and excellent visibility. Our design includes quality sound insulation to reduce road noise, offering an unrivalled car-like experience. Unlike many other converted vehicles, our design includes a standard size fuel tank and accurate fuel gauge, perfect for longer journeys. If you want to tow a caravan this is also an option.

Switch Between Wheelchair Driver and Upfront Passenger Positions

Our unique design allows you to switch between wheelchair driver and upfront passenger position. The front seats can safely and easily be detached and moved to the opposite side. For ease, they are on transfer wheels so no lifting is required.

Side Entry

The conversion is designed with a fully automated ramp and side sliding door. Our side entry design allows you to easily access the vehicle from the curb or a disabled parking space.

Lowering Suspension and UK’s Shortest Ramp

The Ford WAV is available with lowering suspension. When you are ready to exit, the suspension lowers. This position means we can fit a short and shallow ramp. (just 70cm long). The benefit of this is that you can park on the street AND park in a Blue Badge bay with enough space to manoeuvre. This feature also helps to alleviate the issue of grounding on speed bumps. When you are ready to drive away the suspension will rise. The ramp and floor are designed with an anti-slip coating, improving wheel traction in wet weather.

Seating and Storage

Rear passengers can enjoy the comfort of two original manufacturer seats, complemented by a fold-away footrest for added comfort. A spacious boot offers ample space for luggage and equipment and the rear seats can be folded down should you need additional space. For ease of use when travelling independently we can fit an automated boot (optional).

Bespoke Adaptations

Please ask us about further bespoke options and adaptations. We offer a wide range of driving adaptations that are suited to your exact requirements.  Want to read more? • “The team were excellent, as always a real credit to the company. The service we have always had from yourselves is impeccable, always treating us with respect and dignity, many thanks.”

    George W
  • “I’ve been so impressed by your service over the purchase of my car. Thank you to all of you for your kindness, very polite and professional service and your patience. I hope that you as a business, and individually go far, because you deserve to do so.  I’m getting so much more confident at driving, everyday it’s lovely to have my freedom again”.

    Kerry , Yorkshire
  • “I would like to say a big thank you to Sirus for giving me my new-found independence, my car is my best friend, it’s always there and always ready, everything about my Sirus car is right.  At Sirus you and your staff really are the best, even the smallest details are given the same care as the most important ones. It has been a pleasure to deal with your company”.

    William , Hertfordshire
  • “My Sirus car has transformed my life. After thirty years the days of dragging my chair in and out are over. It’s not that I can’t manage it anymore because I can. It’s just that it is so much easier not to have to, particularly when it’s wet. The ramp is easy to us and the lock down system utterly reliable. I spin into my local town and get in and out of the car several times to use various shops.  I now don’t think twice about popping back to the shops when I have forgotten something. My husband who has a bad back doesn’t have to get my wheelchair in and out of the car unless he wants to. I have even driven to France by myself. On the rare occasion I have had a problem with the ramp it has been mended within 24 hours and that is in Scotland. So it’s worth the cost, I would not be without it”

    Sylvia , Scotland
  • “You feel like part of a family when you purchase one of their cars. The whole team is interconnected, either as friends or associates, so that personal, caring touch with great communication always comes across to customers like me. Even when we dropped by the Sirus factory without an appointment, Simon the Managing Director gave us a guided tour of the whole conversion workshop. I can honestly say that if you live with MS, a Sirus car can improve your independence no end.”

    Margaret , West Midlands
  • “During the demonstration at my home, I was so pleased with the mannerism, patience of the Sirus staff member as well as the overall feel of the demonstration. I didn’t feel sold to, the guys are called ‘Mobility Advisors’ which is exactly what he did, advise rather than pressure sales. Well Done Sirus.”
