Sirus Automotive Ltd are a thriving Mobility automotive business based in Wednesbury/ West Midlands. We specialise in all types of Mobility Vehicles and Equipment with the Installation of Vehicle Adaptations for disabled drivers and passengers. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation with customers and suppliers alike.

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to expand our team and are looking for a workshop-based Vehicle Adaptation Engineer to join our close working team. The job is varied and challenging and offers skill progression and training.

The candidate will not only possess technical skills but will also enjoy working with people, sometimes with challenging disabilities in a variety of different environments. We value our staff and can offer a secure and bright future for the right person, and in turn are looking for loyal, team focused individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Fitting: Installing a range of adaptations such as hand controls, left-foot accelerators, steering aids, hoists, and electronic controls.
  • Customer Consultation: Working directly with customers to understand specific needs and tailor solutions, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Technical Work: Diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and carrying out quality control checks on adapted systems.
  • Design & Engineering: Potentially designing integration solutions for complex conversions, considering vehicle systems, electricals, and fabrication.
  • Documentation: Completing job reports, emails, and liaising with suppliers/manufacturers.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in vehicle adaptations or strong vehicle technician/mechanic background.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle systems and basic auto-electrics.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are often beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A valid driving license.

A technical background is a must, and some “Healthcare Industry” experience would be ideal, although not essential. Being flexible and able to adapt quickly is important as our customers and their requirements are varied. We would expect the right person to be approachable, have a confident manner and good interpersonal skills. A Driving Licence is essential.

Job Type:

  • Full-time-(40hrs)

Hours of Work :

  • 6:00am to 16:30pm , Monday-Thursday

Salary:

  • £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year dependent on experience
