How long is the Contract Hire Agreement?
With a wheelchair accessible vehicle, the Contract Hire Agreement is for a minimum of five years (unlike a standard car which is three years).
What happens if my wheelchair accessible vehicle breaks down?
Your Motability Scheme car or WAV is covered for breakdown assistance for the whole of your lease. Breakdown cover is provided by RAC Motability Assist, which provides full breakdown support for Motability Scheme customers.
Is my wheelchair accessible vehicle insured?
Working with RSA Motability (RSAM), Motability includes insurance protection for all cars and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles leased through the Motability Scheme.
Does my wheelchair accessible vehicle have breakdown assistance?
Your Motability Scheme WAV is covered for breakdown assistance for the whole of your lease. Cover is provided by RAC Motability Assist, which provides full breakdown support for Motability Scheme customers.
Is servicing included with my Contract Hire Agreement?
Your WAV will need regular servicing to keep it running well. The cost of each service, and any maintenance repairs necessary due to general wear, are included as part of your lease package. Servicing will either be at set times during your lease agreement or when your WAV has been driven a certain number of miles.
Are tyre replacements included?
Yes. Tyre repair and replacement from Kwik Fit is included as part of your lease package. The aim is to get you back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.
Is windscreen damage included?
If your windscreen needs replacing this will require an excess payment of £50, however, the cost of repairs are included as part of your lease, at no additional cost. So, when you notice a chip or crack in your windscreen or windows, it’s best to book in a repair as soon as possible.
