Vehicle Conversion Operative

Sirus Automotive Ltd are a thriving Mobility automotive business based in Wednesbury/ West Midlands. We specialise in all types of Mobility Vehicles and Equipment with the Installation of Vehicle Adaptations for disabled drivers and passengers. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation with customers and suppliers alike.

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to expand our team and are looking for a workshop-based Vehicle Conversion Operative to join our close working team. The job is varied and challenging and offers skill progression and training.

The candidate will not only possess technical skills but will also enjoy working with people, sometimes with challenging disabilities in a variety of different environments. Duties

• Assist with assembly and maintenance using hand tools and power tools
• Support the installation of new systems or components as directed by supervisors
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
• Follow detailed instructions and technical drawings to complete assigned tasks
• Document work performed and report any anomalies or safety concerns to management

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with practical experience in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and instructions accurately
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Good physical condition, capable of working in various environments and lifting moderate loads if necessary
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A proactive attitude towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement
