Finding the perfect Wheelchair Accessible Car

Following this, the next step is to book a free home demonstration at a date and time that suits you best with one of our mobility specialists. This will include a test drive in your local area and you may want to bring a partner/friend along, especially if they are going to be travelling with you or are of course the driver.
During the demonstration, we will use manual wheelchair restraints so that you are completely safe to travel in your wheelchair. Plus, you / your partner/PA will also be fully insured to take an accompanied test drive too.
A home demoonstration will really allow you to fully experience what it would be like to drive/travel in the WAV and decide whether it’s the right one for you. To make the most of your time with our mobility specialist;
- Make sure the wheelchair accessible vehicle works well on your drive, on your street etc. and that you have anough space to operate the ramp and tailgate.
- Make sure you can get in and out comfortably and operate the ramp and tailgate/side door. All of our Drive From Whelchair and Internal Transfer vehicles have an automatd tailgate and ramp giving you complete independence.
- When you go for a test drive take a route that you travel frequently to ensure the vehicle suits your everyday travel needs.
