The Sirus Ford Internal Transfer is the ideal solution if you want to drive from a standard driver seat. An internal transfer conversion, this is a safer and easier alternative to transferring externally at the side of the road. You will also save loads of time as you won’t have to dismantle your wheelchair, it will be firmly secured inside the vehicle. You can be inside your vehicle, ready to drive away in seconds. Our internal transfer conversion is based on the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect, giving you a more luxurious car-like experience than most wheelchair accessible vehicles. Our latest conversion also provides a wide range of features as standard, as well as a whole range of high tech optional extras.

Conversion Features

Exceptional Interior Space

Our unique flat floor conversion is designed with a lowered floor throughout the front of the vehicle, so you have exceptional interior space and visibility. Our unique design includes sound insulation to ensure low noise levels so unlike many other wheelchair accessible vehicles, it provides an unrivaled car-like experience.

Side Entry

Our side entry design allows you to easily access the vehicle from the curb or a Blue Badge bay.  The conversion is designed with a fully automated ramp and side sliding door which opens and closes simply by clicking your key fob.

Lowering Suspension and UK’s Shortest Ramp

The Ford WAV is available with lowering suspension. When you are ready to exit, the suspension lowers. This position means we can fit a short and shallow ramp. (just 70cm long). The benefit of this is that you can park on the street AND park in a Blue Badge bay with enough space to manoeuvre. This feature also helps to alleviate the issue of grounding on speed bumps. When you are ready to drive away the suspension will rise. The ramp and floor are designed with an anti-slip coating, improving wheel traction in wet weather.

Want a break from driving?  Travel Upfront as a Passenger

If and when you want to take a break from driving, the conversion is designed with a removable front passenger seat. So your companion can take this out and leave it at home to enable you to sit comfortably in your wheelchair in the front of the vehicle. The removable seat is on transfer wheels, so no lifting is required. (Sirus can fit wheelchair securing straps).

Seating and Storage

A powered six way seat is fitted to enable you to find the optimum transfer position. The seat base rotates, moves up and down, forwards and backwards.

Your rear passengers can enjoy the comfort of two original manufacturer rear seats, complemented by a fold-away footrest for added comfort. A spacious boot offers ample space for luggage and equipment and you can also fold down the rear seats should you need additional space. For ease of use when travelling independently we can fit an automated tailgate (optional).

Tow a Caravan or Trailer

As this is a side-entry conversion, you have the option to tow a caravan. (see optional extras).

Accurate Fuel Gauge

Unlike many other wheelchair accessible vehicles, this conversion has a standard size fuel tank and accurate fuel gauge, perfect for longer journeys.
