NPI Manufacturing Engineer – Salary negotiable dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle NPI / Manufacturing Engineer to join our R&D Technical team. The job is varied and challenging and offers skill progression with training. The candidate will not only possess technical skills but will also enjoy working with people with varied abilities. Responsibilities and duties include:

 

  • Coordinate with R&D New Products Developments groups to develop strategies for new products.
  • Provide engineering support for all activities in product development process.
  • Prepare project timelines and identify all resources requirements and evaluate financials for manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and government regulations.
  • Prepare plans for all NPI projects and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure a good quality product.
  • Coordinate with engineering and product management departments and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products.
  • Assist Manufacturing department and manage communication across all departments.
  • Develop product test plans and perform production tests according to manufacturing process instructions.
  • Administer efficient first release products for D&D for submission to regulatory.
  • Assist the Technical & design director and manage integration of all products according to product lifecycle.
  • Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and manufacture principles.
  • Ensure compliance to all ECO procedures and work instructions.
  • Work with design engineering and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high-volume products.
  • Provide technical support to the Materials Management team for all RFP initiatives and administer effective use of outsource products.
  • Develop prototype design according to required techniques and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain an inventory and ensure availability of required equipment, tools, test equipment and prototype parts.
  • Analyse and recommend improvements to all production processes and methods to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Design new manufacturing process requirements and associate guidelines.
  • Develop and implement efficient material handling, flow strategies and always maintain safe and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyse and recommend corrective action in case of any design failure.
  • Coordinate with senior management and maintain knowledge on product status and prepare appropriate reports.

Job Type: Full-time-(40hrs). Hours of work : 6am – 4.30pm , Monday-Thursday.

Salary: up to £40,000 per year – Depending on skill and experience.
