Case Study
“It is the best accessible vehicle I have ever had”
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have had two wheelchair accessible vehicles from Sirus Automotive. My previous vehicle was the Sirus VW Drive From Wheelchair which had rear access allowing me to get in and out on my own. This gave me the independence to travel and carry out my work duties.
From the first time I enquired about a Sirus mobility vehicle, I have always received first class advice and guidance which helped me to fully understand what my requirements for a wheelchair accessible vehicle were. The sales team, support team, engineers and developers provided me with a level of support that I had not received previously and as such, I wanted to continue my association with Sirus when my vehicle requirements changed.
Side entry
When I learnt about the development of the Ford Drive / Upfront conversion I was interested in seeing this new idea/concept for accessing the vehicle from the side, but without converting the rear seats and boot space. The whole concept of the Ford wheelchair accessible vehicle excited me as it had everything I wanted in a vehicle. Having watched it developing through visiting different disability roadshows I knew this was the vehicle for me.
Quiet and comfortable ride
I placed an order for the vehicle at the first opportunity and was honoured to receive the first purchased Ford Drive. After the first few months of use, I can say it is the best vehicle I have ever had. It meets all of my needs and provides the quietest and most comfortable ride with all the facilities to allow independent use.
Original seats and boot space
The Ford provides me with a vehicle that allows me to carry people in comfort and use the seats that came with the vehicle. To have space in the boot to carry equipment/shopping is important to me. Also, being able to park in any disabled bay without fear of being blocked is essential as the ramp is small enough to allow me to exit the vehicle into the space of the disabled bay.
I would highly recommend this wheelchair accessible vehicle and would encourage people to see for themselves how good it really is and to experience all the benefits.”
