Sirus to exhibit at Disability Awareness Day

Sirus will be exhibiting at this year’s Disability Awareness Day. Disability Awareness Day (“DAD”) is the world’s largest ‘not for profit’ voluntary-led disability exhibition, held annually in a huge tented village within the grounds of Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington.

What’s on?

Visitors to the show can expect to find around 250 exhibitors, equipment suppliers, transport, holidays, leisure, employment, support groups and services. You can enjoy the Arts Marquee, and the Centre Arena which includes the Reach Sled Dogs, Vale Royal Falconry and Widnes Martial Arts. New for DAD 2019…They have now introduced a Silent Disco where you can wear wireless headphones and take your pick from three channels of music!

Sports Zone

The Disability Awareness Day Sports zone includes Scuba Diving in the on-site pool with kit and instructors from Cheshire Scuba Academy, Wheelchair Fencing, Archery, Golf, Boxing, Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Rugby, Martial Arts, New Age Curling, Small Bore Rifle Shooting, multi-sports activities and the climbing wall. All activities are supported by qualified coaches and instructors.

Come and see the Sirus Ford Drive / Upfront

We will be showing the Ford Drive / Upfront where you can either drive from your wheelchair or travel upfront as a passenger. The vehicle also has two rear seats and original boot space. Designed for both independent wheelchair drivers and upfront wheelchair passengers, the Sirus Ford Drive / Upfront gives you total flexibility and choice. For independent drivers, we offer a fully automatic side sliding door and for upfront passengers, you can choose a more economical manual option. The side sliding door and ramp allows you to access the vehicle from the curb or easily from a disabled parking space. This is our most superior conversion to date and has proved hugely popular. We had a huge crowd of people last week at Motability’s Big Event at Birmingham’s NEC.

Opening times

The show opens at 10am and finishes at 5pm, and entry is FREE with a FREE programme.
