  1. Things to consider before you book a demonstration

  • Do you want to drive or travel upfront as a passenger?
  • Do you want to switch from driver to upfront passenger?
  • Is a rear entry or side entry Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle best suited to you? (think about where you are going to park).
  • How many seats do you need for passengers?
  • What other elements are important to you, i.e. boot space, child seats, space for larger equipment / additional wheelchair etc.

  1. Free home demonstration

Once you have thought about the above, we can arrange a free home demonstration on a date and time to suit you and we will bring our demonstration vehicle directly to your home or workplace. We recommend having a test drive in your local area with one of our fully trained mobility specialists. We will spend around an hour or so with you, (longer if required) and explain the functions of the conversion and features of the vehicle. Feel free to bring a partner/friend along, especially if they are going to be travelling with you.

  1. Safety

We use manual wheelchair restraints in our demonstration vehicles, so you are completely safe to travel in your wheelchair. You (or your partner/PA) are also fully insured to take an accompanied test drive.

  1. Prefer to visit our factory?

We also welcome people to Sirus head office. This means you can see all of our vehicles in stock. We can also give you a tour of our workshop so you can see how the vehicles are manufactured. We are centrally located in the West Midlands, junction 9 of the M6.

If the demonstration vehicle isn’t quite right for you, we will happily bring an alternative vehicle out. We have a number of different conversions with rear and side entry as well as a large Drive From Wheelchair vehicle based on the Ford Custom (this WAV seats up to six people).

Once you are happy with the vehicle, we can discuss any adaptations you need. We offer wheelchair locking systems (manual and automated), bespoke driving controls, steering aids, etc.
