Sirus Celebrates 20 Years in Business

We’re thrilled to be celebrating 20 years in business this year.  Two decades of making an impact on people’s lives through our innovative, industry-leading, wheelchair accessible vehicles and car adaptations.

Since 2004, Sirus Automotive has built its name as a WAV specialist. We are proud to offer new and Approved Used wheelchair accessible vehicles to drivers and passengers. Working closely with Motability since 2004, all of our WAVs are available on the Motability Scheme.

Sirus Automotive founder Simon Pearson had a vision 20 years ago to design innovative, high-quality wheelchair accessible vehicles and car adaptations to enable disabled people to drive or travel comfortably as a passenger.

New Product Development

Simon commented, “Celebrating our 20th anniversary is a great accolade for Sirus, and it is thanks to the team that we have been able to help so many disabled people become mobile. We pride ourselves on our continual new product development, having designed 20 wheelchair accessible vehicles since 2004”. Simon continues, “There have been many highlights over the years, but winning a Queen’s Award for Innovation is definitely up there. That was a very proud moment for us all”.

Another milestone was achieving the ISO9001 quality standard, which ensures we have rigorous processes in place throughout the business, including conformity, quality, build processes, purchasing, sales processes, recruitment and training. We couldn’t have achieved everything we have without the hard work of our fantastic team.”

Our range of products

We’ve come a long way in the past 20 years offering a varied range of wheelchair accessible vehicles, including solutions for drivers and passengers.  We specialise in drive from wheelchair and internal transfer solutions giving our customers freedom and independence. Our wheelchair accessible vehicles are designed to empower disabled people to regain mobility.

   

Many of our WAVs are unique in our industry, our Ford Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, the Ford Connect WAV  is one of our most popular conversions to date. This conversion is designed to enable wheelchair users to switch from driver to upfront passenger.  We are also proud to offer the UK’s only wheelchair accessible car, the Dacia Jogger.
