Wheelchair Passenger Upfront Conversion Features
The Sirus VW Upfront Passenger has a fully lowered floor throughout. This will ensure excellent visibility when you are sitting in the front and is ideal for taller chair users. The conversion has been designed with exceptional interior space, the width of the conversion is maximised which will accommodate most large wheelchairs. We pride ourselves on the quality of our conversions, which are designed to blend in with the original vehicle, giving a near seamless finish.
Rear Entry
Our rear entry VW Caddy wheelchair accessible vehicle allows you to easily access the vehicle from any parking bay, you don’t actually need a disabled parking space to get in and out. The tailgate and ramp will either be manually or automatically operated.
Automated Tailgate and Ramp
For ease, many of our customers prefer an upfront passenger wav with a fully automated tailgate and ramp option with lowering suspension. No bending or lifting required it will open and close at the touch of a button. A great option to assist drivers, simply press a button on the key fob and the vehicle suspension will lower and the tailgate and ramp will open. Once inside, press the button on the dashboard or the key fob to automatically close the tailgate and ramp and lift the suspension. The ramp angle is below 11 degrees.
Manual Tailgate and Ramp
A more economical option is our manual tailgate and ramp conversion without lowering suspension. The manual ramp is lightweight, spring-assisted and bi-folding to ensure it doesn’t block your rearview. The ramp is below 11 degrees, ensuring you can enter and exit safely.
Anti-Slip Ramp
The ramp is designed with an anti-slip coating, improving wheel traction in wet weather. The interior floor of the vehicle is also designed with an anti-slip material.
Seating and Storage
As standard, there is space for three people with one rear passenger seat behind the driver. Some vehicles have either one or two additional rear fold downs seats.
