In a Rear Passenger WAV the wheelchair user will travel in the back. The wheelchair user enters and exits via a manual tailgate and ramp and the wheelchair is safely secured using a wheelchair tie down or locking system.

Both vehicles include space for six people as standard – wheelchair user, driver, front passenger and three mid-row passengers. Fold away one, two or three mid-row seats giving you a more inclusive wheelchair position and additional space for larger wheelchairs.

Both of our rear wheelchair passenger vehicles are suitable for manual and powerchair users. During your home demonstration we will ensure you can sit comfortably with a good view out of the window.
Most of our customers opt for a 4-point manual tie down system which will safely secure your wheelchair into position. Alternatively you can consider an automatic wheelchair locking system which will be much easier to operate. This option requires a pin to be fitted to the bottom of your wheelchair, so it’s best to talk this option through with one of our mobility specialists during your demonstration.

Yes, Sirus also offer a range of Upfront Passenger solutions. Upfront Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles enable you to travel in the front of the vehicle in your wheelchair. You don’t have to worry about transferring to a standard seat and you can enjoy all of the benefits of being able to sit next to the driver. Sirus offer a Ford side entry WAV and a Ford rear entry WAV for upfront passengers.
